Even today, the deep sea remains largely unexplored. Throughout history, countless people have dreamed of reaching its depths, giving form to their curiosity through the creation of various diving suits. These remarkable suits have now been brought to life as action figures in the Takeya Revoltech articulated-object series, VINTAGE DIVING SUITS COLLECTION!
The first release is a special edition limited to the initial production run: the Takeya Color Version. Based on the diving suit developed by the Carmagnolle brothers, it has been reimagined with a science-fiction aesthetic. This version features the “Kanehisa” insignia, the business name of Denmatsu Soma, the protagonist of sculptor Takayuki Takeya’s original work Fisherman’s Angle.
The figure represents a special diving suit created by Dr. Aoki. Its paintwork evokes a world in which everything continues to rust despite being treated with anti-corrosion coating.
The joints use a deliberately simple structure wherever possible while recreating the complex movement of mechanisms that overlap and work together in multiple layers. The suit’s rugged, weighty industrial design, combined with its unexpectedly charming appearance, gives it a timeless appeal.
The included dedicated display base allows you to showcase the figure like a museum exhibit.
